MIGHTY’S MISSION
INSPIRE CLIENTS TO FEEL WONDERFUL ABOUT THEMSELVES, GET ENERGIZED AND ESCAPE LIFE’S CHALLENGES WHEN THEY ARE AT MIGHTY!
Cricket Wardein
Founder and Partner
Cricket discovered her love for energetic Pilates while living in Australia in 2007, after taking a group Reformer class that combined classical technique with dynamic energy and community. Inspired, she brought that concept home and, after earning her BASI Pilates certification, opened the first Mighty studio in San Francisco in 2009 while still working in digital marketing. She left the corporate world in 2015 to open Mighty Santa Monica, later expanding to Marin (2019), Lafayette (2022), and two more studios in Berkeley and Westwood Village. As a single mom, Cricket understands the importance of making every workout feel like a meaningful break in a busy day. Her greatest joy? Hearing that Mighty has become her clients’ “happy place.”
Cat Martin
CEO
Cat’s Pilates journey began with classes at Mighty’s first studio in San Francisco, and over the past 13 years she has been a client, PTT graduate, instructor, and marketing leader. Now as CEO, she brings a deep love for Pilates, respect for the industry, and decades of executive leadership experience at global brands in live music, tech, gaming, and luxury.
Under Cat’s leadership, Mighty has grown to 12 studios across California while maintaining the deep community involvement and meaningful client relationships that kept herself coming back to Mighty for over a decade plus. Cat’s deep business expertise fuels her commitment to preserving and growing Mighty’s nurturing, empowering community. She is passionate about upholding the effectiveness of classical Pilates, while blending in modern movement and ensuring accessibility for all. Cat is a mom of three, wife, and active community volunteer, and you’ll still see her in a Mighty studio most days of the week.
Michelle Hatsushi
VP of Operations
Michelle discovered her love for Pilates in 2005 when life unexpectedly led her on a major health journey, after being diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. She credits Pilates for helping her get strong through her most challenging days. Michelle instantly felt connected to the positive energy and welcoming community at Mighty. Michelle’s passion for being an integral part of the Mighty community helped her quickly rise through the ranks from front desk to Director of Client Experience, Co-Owner of Mighty Pilates Berkeley in 2023 and VP of Operations in 2025.
Noel Teubner
VP of Programming & Instructor Development
Noel began teaching at Mighty Pilates when the studio opened its Santa Monica location in 2013. Proving to be an exceptional teacher and leader, she soon moved into her role of Master Trainer and Instructor Manager for the studio, all while balancing her role as a single mom. Moving into her current role as Director of Instructor Management in 2023, Noel has also proudly helped to co-create the Mighty Pilates teacher’s training program as well as additional continuing education programs for Mighty.
Christy Crowley
Director of Instructor Management (Bay Area)
After leaving a life in classical ballet, Christy began her Pilates journey with First-Generation Teacher, Ron Fletcher and has been teaching Pilates for over 23 years. In addition to an extensive career in theatre and dance performance, and a rich education in Pilates, Biomechanics, and Human Anatomy, she’s been on the Faculty of the Theatre & Dance Department of San Francisco State University for over a decade. Christy joined Mighty Pilates in 2023 and was named Director of Instructor Management for the Bay Area in fall of 2024. While she loves all things Pilates, her deepest passion is helping to educate and shape the next generation of Pilates Instructors through the Mighty Pilates Teacher Training Program.
